Last time you visited us in Cincinnati, you taught me so much about our family history like how grandma passed away when the family was at a very young age and how grandpa endured all the hardships without grandma. I was amazed how all the siblings helped each other to survive and thrive at such a young age.
I remember you love birds as grandpa did. When you visited me, I lived next to a forest, you kept the bird feeders filled and fed them with leftover dinner. The black birds absolutely loved the thit kho and rice left over you made. You used to sit by the back door enjoying the view of the woods and watching the birds with that unforgettable grin on your face. Looking back, it still makes me laugh.
I love to see mom (Di/Co Bay) and you talk, you tease each other like typical siblings in their younger years. You both have that family personality trait that is cute and hard to describe. Both of you have a great sense of humor, easy to love and laugh along with your sense of warmth and comfort that surrounds you.
Cau Nam please eat, drink, and rest well for me, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Trung

Trung,
These memories of yours also reminded me of the number of birds that would gather in our back yard regularly because my dad would dump our leftovers in the yard for them to eat. I didn't know that both he and Ong Noi had a common love of birds. It feels really good to learn a little more about Cau Nam and our common family history from what each person shares. Thanks.
Quoc
