With all the recent updates of how my Dad was fitted with a tube to help drain fluid from his lung and everything, it seems the days are numbered. This morning, Quoc updated that they drained an additional 2.5 liter from his lungs. Things do not look good from this report and how he lost 25 lbs so far, etc... So, now that I am in-between jobs, and get occasional phone screens, with nothing very promising in sight. I was wondering if it is worth while for me to make another driving trip down to Houston,TX to be there. I am not sure if I will be a welcoming sight to my Dad at this time or just will agitate him more. Since Quoc is already there, I don't want to waste my time and money just to be there as "Another cook in the Kitchen" sort of speak. Does anyone have suggestions?
Take your rest from your tiresome battle, and know that your sons and daughters have all come to your side. Know that mom will be taken care of in her old age and that there is nothing left for you to worry about.
We have been taught the cruel lessons of a divided family and unforgiveness. You have tried, and we cannot fault you or mom for the lessons that we have not learned.
May we learn from your pains and trials what we can do better for our own children, just as you have learned to do better by your own nephews and nieces. They love you with a love that causes us to reexamine your own love for us.
We didn't know any better. Forgive us, and go on to take your rest. We are healed when we can come to accept you in all of your faults along side your virtues. In this, we understand ourselves.
