From Huyen

Hi all,

Now that Cau Nam is resting in peace, most out-of-towners have returnedhome, most of us are back to our normal life, or at least trying to catch upwith family, work, and sleep. I am sitting here after a day's work, feelinga sort of emptiness. There's no cau Nam, no hospital, no hospice, nocousins, no aunts to rush to. I miss y'all so much now. We did have 2 weeksof mixed emotions and reconnection. Before now, the last time we all weretogether was on the boat in 1975. I was 13, too young to know or to care. The country collapsed but none of us died. I never experienced the feelingof closeness as I did this time around.

It's good to have a family. It's great to have an extended family.

I think I am blessed to have so many wonderful extended family members. Youhave different personalities, different gifts, but you all have one thing incommon: You're good-hearted individuals. I will always cherish the time wehad together sharing tears and laughter. I will remember everybody dearly.

Love,

Huyen
