THREE REASONS

Hello siblings and cousins,

I have an idea: While cau Nam is living, let's celebrate his life. How about everyone write 3 reasons they thank God for having cau Nam in their life. It could be anything from why you like him, love him, have fun with him, to what you've learned from him, how he's made you grow, what you've appreciated from him, or how he's touched your life.... It could be his principles, his personality, his style, his perspectives,... Let's focus on the positive. Let's give him the time of his life.

If you think it's a good idea, please send your "3 reasons" via email privately to me. Deadline is this Sunday 01/11/09 at midnight. It's not a contest, not a showcase, not a showdown. It's purely from your heart to cau Nam. I will keep it private, and compile everyone's "3 reasons" in a scrapbook, then present it to cau Nam early next week as our extended family's collective gift to him (as soon as we have a big family gathering with cau Nam, when Di Bay and a few other cousins arrive, or the timing may depend on his health). I am sure cau Nam will love it. I have seen how he was beaming with joy when he received anh Tan's letter last Saturday. It was truly the highlight of his week.

I realize writing the "3 reasons" can be a piece of cake for some of you, but it can be rather challenging, soul searching for some others. But I can assure each and every person that you will feel wonderful after you put forth the effort.
