Here are three things that I’ve recently learned from Cau Nam while caring for him in the hospital:· Always compliment and thank the hospital staff. They will take better care of you. They can give you the “good” medications and some might even develop a crush on you!
· Always keep your sense of humor, even when you’re lying flat on your back in a hospital bed. Cracking jokes with a priest in the middle of receiving the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is a rare talent!
· Family gives you strength. There is a direct correlation. The more family you can pack into your hospital room, the more strength you will have to entertain and amuse the crowd!
