I miss you from up here in Indiana. I cherish my memories of you, especially when you came to visit us in Cincinnati, OH when I was little. It is my first memory of good shrimp and it was out of our very first microwave. And my, how you encouraged all of us to eat and eat and eat! What mom would use for fifteen pots of canh (?sp) spinach and okra, we went through in one late night.
We were in heaven with your visit, your stories, your distinct laugh, and your pure love as our only Cau. Our visit to you in Houston with mom and sisters was special for all of us to just be with you, listening and watching you treat mom in a way we never see...that strong, eldest bond that could only come from a big brother to the youngest sister. The emotions were overwhelming; remember I couldn’t stop crying at your house when we were all together?
Cau Nam, you are always with me in my heart and through your children, my mom, Di Sau, our cousins, and all the extended family that you touched. It doesn't matter how far apart we are from each other because I feel your love, my family feels your love, and you have to know we all love you too.
I thank God for you, Cau Nam.
God bless you and be with you, Cau Nam.
I love you,
Truong (Susie)
