Have a safe trip home Lan Anh. Drive carefully! you did what most of us wanted to do and were able to do. namely came to say good bye to Dad and wanted him to know that. It was great last afternoon when Dad opened his eyes and acknowledged each of us by blinking his eyes as we took turn to ask him if he hears us. I think we all felt good about it. Fr. Huy also told me that Dad wanted to send the message of forgiveness to all, and in turn asked us to forgive him. It is a great that at the end of Dad's life, he was able to receive God's grace and made that gesture of willingness to let go of all. That is the great sign of his readiness to embrace God, the ONE who has been with him all along on journey on earth.
The news this morning: Quoc said the nurse came to drain the liquid from Dad's lung, which caused him lots of pain. Dad moaned in suffering and his breath remains weak. The apnea episodes do not happen as frequently as yesterday.
We are all ready for ultimate moment.
I hope Dad will wait for Tung.. one of his most favored grand son.
